PARTICIPATION

There are two ways to compete at ACSCA/CAHDS National Championships: in the Championship Class, or in the Sport Class. For more information on the event itself and the classes available, please check out the ACSCA/CAHDS site.

CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES - PROVINCIAL TEAMS

If you would like the opportunity to be on a provincial team, please take the time to read the requirements below and submit the application form at the bottom of this page. 

Selection Process

To race in Canadian Championship Classes, maritime athletes must meet the following standards:

  1. Must be a MAHDS member.
     

  2. Must be able to prove participation in a minimum of 4 races and/or time trials during the eligible race seasons (Nationals 2019, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, Spring 2022). TWO of these must be races. For canicross, all results submitted must be from standard distance races (3km to 6km). Sprint distances will not generally be considered, though an exemption may be requested within your application. For bikejor and scooter, any distance will be accepted.
     

  3. Must have finished in the top 50% of competitors in your qualifying races.
