01/ Long Lake Lap Dog

The 2019 Fall Dryland Season begins with the Long Lake Lap Dog! Always a great event, this year's format is a little different! With three different distance options, there's something for everyone! 

Available Classes: 

  • 1-dog Canicross Sprint (3km) - 1 x 3km lap

  • 1-dog Canicross Standard (6km) - 2 x 3km laps with a break between

  • 1-dog Canicross Discovery Class - 1 x 2km (out and back)

02/ Fulfilling Hearts Rescue Run 

Mapleton Park

Moncton, NB

Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019

A dogless versus canicross 5K run through beautiful Mapleton Park! This is sure to be a fun event and all funds raised will be donated to the incredible folks at Fulfilling Hearts Rescue - a foster-based canine rescue group based in Moncton, NB.


Please note, the park will remain open for this event. If this environment isn't suitable for your dog, please consider volunteering or sharing this event with fellow dog-lovers!

02/ Movember 

Point Pleasant Park

Halifax, NS

Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019

Capped at 100 runners, the Movember Halifax Run raises funds for Movember Canada & is the original dog-friendly race in the maritimes! All funds raised help the Movember Foundation in their mission to tackle men's health on a global scale year-round.


Note, the park is open and includes sections which travel near off-leash dog areas. Strollers are also permitted. Please be conscious of your dog's comfort-level!


This event is always A LOT of fun & in support of an admirable cause - we hope to see you there!

Regional Circuit Classes​​: 

These are competitive classes which are part of a MAHDS Regional Circuit. There are 2 regional circuits: dryland and snow. Classes that form part of a regional circuit are listed in the “Regional Circuit Regulations” and must conform to specific rules and requirements. 

Off-Circuit Classes: 

These are competitive classes that do not form part of a regional circuit. These include recreational or training classes that help foster sport-development in our region. See Article 2.2.3 of the Regulations.

Non-Competitive Classes (Fun Runs)

These classes are focused on fun and do not count toward the regional circuit. The MAHDS Code of Conduct and certain safety requirements for the health and enjoyment of canine teammates remain in effect. More information on these events can be found under the documents tab.
