MAHDS is committed to the development of harness dog sports in the maritimes and is working with dedicated members throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island to support the safe and positive practice of these sports for the betterment of the people and dogs who love them! We provide support and guidance to affiliate clubs and event organizers and are a trustworthy source of information regarding harness dog sports in the maritimes.

VALERIE MICHON
President
Valerie lives in Moncton, NB. She is an avid outdoorswoman and loves to spend time with her dogs, Lucy & Solo, in harness. Val's favourite sports include bikejor and kicksled, though she's warming up to canicross! A bookkeeper by day, she's a great asset to the MAHDS team.

IAN LOUGHEAD
Vice President
Ian is an accomplished runner, cyclist, swimmer and triathlete from Timberlea, NS who brings a wealth of experience as a race director, coach and club organizer to the MAHDS board.

SARAH PEEL
Treasurer & Corporate Secretary
Sarah loves dogs, running, mountain biking, and trails. She trains and competes in canicross and bikejor events with her greyster, Chester & regularly instructs clinics around the maritimes sharing her knowledge and providing instruction to help others get started in harness dog sports safely. Originally from Hampton, NB, she now calls Moncton, NB home. She is passionate about sharing her love of harness dog sports and primarily works to assist & support new and current MAHDS member clubs.

SARAH WARFORD
Sport Development
Sarah is well-known to the Canadian harness dog sports community for her dedication to harness dog sports across the country. In Atlantic Canada, she instructs and participates in a variety of disciplines including canicross, bikejor, skijor, and kicksled. Sarah serves as the Regional Director for the Maritimes on the board of the Canadian Association of Harness Dog Sports and is the current president of CAHDS.

JORDAN WARFORD
Director-at-large
Jordan is an avid cyclist and bikejor enthusiast and staunch supporter of Canadian harness dog sports from Halifax, NS. Jordan is primarily tasked with behind the scenes logistics support at MAHDS races and events.
